Where to eat in Lille?

Lille’s restaurants offer a fantastic diversity of food, from staunchly traditional fare to the most modern. Here are some of my suggestions of what's available.

Au Bout des Doigts

The Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre has a special menu for 22€ consisting of 3 regional dishes (tarte au maroilles, carbonade flamande, crème brûlée à la chicorée) and a local beer or a half-bottle of water.

“Au Bout des Doigts” - 5 rue Saint Joseph – is an amazing trendy place to eat with an original menu.

Meert is known with its waffles but it also has an excellent restaurant at 27 rue Esquermoise.

The Domaine de Chavagnac -  43 rue de Gand – is proof that you can enjoy the wonderful cuisine of the south-west of France in the Nord!

Le Broc’ - 17 Place de Béthune – is a place that no lover of cheeses should miss out on.

And be sure to stop for a drink in a typical wine bar, such as the Market (6 Square Maurice Schumann) or the Part des Anges (50 Rue de la Monnaie)!
