Where to eat in the Flanders?

WT Benoît et Caroline Lesage

While in Flanders it is of course impossible not to eat and drink at least once in an estaminet, a traditional restaurant serving the rich cuisine of the region. So here are a few great places to try!

Stop off at the ‘T Kasteel Hof … Situated on the top of Mont Cassel , it’s the highest estaminet in Flanders and was built on the foundations of an old castle.

Inside, you will love the typical décor, the Flemish games you can play and the specialities such as carbonnade flamande, potjevleesch, tarte au sucre and others

The Kruysstraete in Wormhout  offers convivial surroundings and an authentic and generous cuisine reflecting the seasons with its fresh regional produce.

And thanks to me, Nicole, you’ll receive a free planter’s punch (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) with nibbles  to start your meal (offer available until September!).

For those of you with more gourmet inclinations, “Auprès de mon Arbre” in Steenvoorde  will delight your taste buds with the most creative French cuisine.

If you fancy it, call in on Florent, a favourite contestant on Top Chef, at the Vert Mont country inn in Boeschepe!
